5 on friday: amber lilyestrom

On Friday afternoons, we will be asking a fellow #girlboss five simple questions about business, the passion behind her brand and what motivates her to get out of bed in the morning.

We invite you today to meet Amber Lilyestrom, a branding strategist, business coach and host of her very own podcast. Her super power is helping others figure out exactly what it is they want for this one precious life, inspiring them to take action and to turn those dreams into reality.

years in business | 3 years

1 | When did you consider yourself a success? My parents raised me to face my fears head on, to believe that I could do hard things, to set the bar high and to work hard to get there. I think I’ve always viewed myself as a success, simply because I’ve never given up on my dreams. I had this ingrained in me at a very young age and I have never really believed that there were significant limitations on what I can achieve.

2 | What motivates you to get out of bed in the morning? My mission to help people come home to who they really are. I want to be a mirror for others to see how phenomenal they truly are and for what’s possible when we push beyond our fear to design the lives we were created for. I also love getting to be a witness to my own process of pushing past my comfort zone and sharing that experience with others to inspire them to go bigger than ever before.

3 | What is a skill you’d like to learn and why?  I am excited to write my very first book! I have had a dream of writing a book since I was 5 years old and I am so thrilled to fulfill this dream within the next year or so.

4 | How would your friends describe you? Loving. Compassionate. Devoted Mama, Wife and Friend. Driven. Empathetic. Determined. Motivated. Sensitive. Kind. Intelligent.

5 | What is your favorite quote? “Be where your feet are.” - Anonymous

ding, ding, ding! bonus question | If you could witness any event of the past, present, or future, what would it be? The birth of our second child...so wanting to be a mama again!
