1 | When did you consider yourself a success?: I'd say there were multiple moments that I realized I was successful.. the first being the day I turned in my 2-weeks notice at my 9-5. Even though I didn't have a business plan, website, or even a client, I knew it was the first step in the right direction. In terms of my business, I knew I was successful when I could cover my rent and all of my expenses (after taxes) after being in business only 3 months!
2 | What motivates you to get out of bed in the morning?: My dog begging me to feed her...
Just kidding. :) I get so excited to get up and post for my clients on Instagram! It's so fun seeing which posts perform best, and I love engaging with their followers to help their business grow daily.
3 | What is a skill you’d like to learn and why?: I would love to learn self-motivation in terms of dieting and exercise. I'd also love to learn how to land a plane... I'm a huge geek when it comes to survival techniques, so I feel like that would be a great thing to learn to calm my flying anxiety!
4 | How would your friends describe you?: Introverted, motivated, and blunt. I do love the occasional night out, but most of my friends know that I spend most evenings alone, in bed, watching Netflix. I've also always been the A+ student everyone loves to hate. Fortunately, that's a characteristic that can do wonders for those who become business owners. Also, I'm always getting myself in trouble by speaking my mind. Some people get offended while others find it hilarious. Don't judge me, though! I've been really working on "filtering my words" the past few years.
5 | What is your favorite quote?: "A lion doesn't lose sleep over the opinion of sheep." - David Hyner. I love this quote so much, that I've actually decided if I ever have a daughter, her middle name will be "Lionne," which is french for lioness. Not only is this quote great for business owners, but it's empowering and eye-opening for anyone who relies too heavily on the opinions of others.
bonus | If you could witness any event of the past, present, or future, what would it be?: This is a weird answer... but I'd love to experience the moment Jesus stood up for the adulterous woman. (John 7:53-8:11) I think Christianity has, sadly, become so obsessed with judging and publicly shaming anyone who does something "sinful." However, it would have been amazing to watch Jesus stand up for someone who was being harshly judged and treated by others. Basically... bye, haters.
